Virgina Lois Macholl (nee Charbat), age 76, of Wickliffe, passed away March 2, 2021 with her husband holding her hand and her son at her side. She was born on January 10, 1945 to the late Rudolph and Anne (nee Twardzik) Charbat in East Cleveland, OH.
Virginia had previously worked for Metal Foils for 15 years but always preferred being a housewife by taking care of her husband and sons which she loved. Besides living in Wickliffe, she had been a previous resident of Garfield Hts., Willoughby and Mentor. Virginia was a 1963 graduate of Garfield Heights High School. She gave the Valedictorian speech at graduation, was captain of cheerleaders all four years and was extremely popular and very outgoing.
Virginia loved to cook and made a fantastic chicken noodle soup which was given at every cold and flu, going shopping with her friends, watch old movies, decorating, traveling, parties and animals. But most of all, Virginia was a devoted wife to her husband with whom she spent 46 wonderful years together and mother to her two wonderful sons. She was very outgoing, likeable and loved to be with people. She was an extremely kind and generous person. Everyone who knew her liked her.
Virginia was the beloved and extremely devoted wife of 43 years to Robert Scott Macholl; dearest mother of Robert Alan Barnhard and Russell John (Angela) Barnhard; devoted grandmother of Sarah, Nicholas, Hayley and David Barnhard; dear sister of Ken Charbat (deceased) and Elaine DiCarlo.
Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time and her ashes will be buried at a later date. She would love for any donations to be made in her memory to the Lake Humane Society 7564 Tyler Blvd., Bldg. E, Mentor, OH 44060.
