Susan Ann (Zigman) Gelbach

Susan Ann Gelbach (nee Zigman), age 64, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022, surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.

Susan grew up in Willoughby Hills, OH on her family farm on White Rd. She was a graduate of South High School and held a bachelor’s degree in electronics. Over the years she held many jobs, her most passionate job was working as a snowplower for her father's company J&F Snow Removal. There was nothing more exciting than a snow fall and the snow desk opening up. Susan would fire up her 1986 Ford F250 (later her 1996 F250) and would be plowing snow all day/night. Susan and Nelson always took their children with them to plow. That tradition continues today with her children as they all plow snow and David takes his son, Jacob with him.

Susan had a such heart of gold. Always willing to help her children, family, friends and even complete strangers. It didn’t matter to her. Susan was always there for everyone. Susan loved riding around town in her Diesel BMW.

Susan is survived by her husband Nelson Gelbach; her children, Susan Frances, David and Scott Gelbach; her grandchild, Jacob; her sons, Bryan Stoltz, Tomo Mucic, Nick Mucic and Bruce “Bernie” Giannetti; loving sisters, Rose (Mike) Rush, Silvia (Jim) Rarick and Debbie Pachinger and numerous nieces and nephews. Special family members, Auntie Katie, Gina, Marsella and we cannot forget Kiko, her little eating recon misson dog.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Antionette (nee Tomaselli) and father, Frank Zigman; brothers, Frank Jr. and John Zigman; sister, Mary Ann Zigman; mother-in-law, Helen Gelbach; father-in-law, Robert Gelbach; brother-in-laws, John and David Gelbach; special little nephew, Weston Blaker.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Tuesday, February 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
