Stephen J. Budinsky, went to be with the Lord, passing away peacefully at Fairmount Health Center on March 2, 2022, at the age of 88. He was born in Greensburg, PA and moved to Cleveland with his mom as a young teenager. He served in the U.S. Army as a member of the Corps of Engineers, designing bridges during the Korean War. Later, he went on to work as a tool design draftsman at Superior Die Casting and then Tool Die Engineering where he retired in 1998.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Mary Budinsky. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally (nee Moosey) of 57 years. He is the beloved father of Steve (wife Teresa) and Nancy Plisko, and devoted grandfather to Alex Plisko and Amelia Budinsky.
A long-time resident of Wickliffe for 54 years, Stephen loved to bowl, play golf, and build model train layouts. He was an avid reader, loved old war movies, biblical history, and listening to big band music, especially Lawrence Welk. He learned to play the clarinet as a young man and would often play in the evenings for his family and in a band at the Willoughby Senior Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th at Nottingham Baptist Church 2921 Bishop Rd., Willoughby Hills (Family and Friends Please Meet at Church). Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON FRIDAY MARCH 11TH FROM 3:00 TO 7:00 PM.
