Obituary

Richard C. Masek, was born in Euclid, OH in March of 1946, passed away after a brief illness on April 13, 2023.

After growing up in Euclid, he graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1968 which led to a long career at Bailey Meter/ABB Inc. and then a second career at Canadian Standards Association as a Safety Engineer.  

Richard was an avid bike rider, outdoor lover, and a helper to anyone who needed it.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clare and mother, Pearl. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons, Todd (Brenna) and Adam (Patty) and daughter, Amy (Doug); grandchildren, Abbey, Riley, Ryan, Max, Noah, and Tessa; brothers, Ron (Beverly) and Tim and sister, Sheri (Toby).

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Partners in Science Excellence, where Rich had served as a board member since 1994 giving grants to teachers to fund special projects.
