MaryAnn Corrao (nee Pazicni), age 76, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
She was born June 1, 1947, in Herbert, PA and moved to Willoughby as a young girl with her family, eventually settling in Wickliffe to raise a family with John. J Corrao, Sr., her husband of 55 years.
MaryAnn was an intelligent, artistic, and resourceful wife, mother, and homemaker; her interests and talents were varied and many.
She was active within the community, whether as a teacher of summer craft classes atop the Wickliffe fire station, Lincoln Elementary School playground guard, Girl Scout troop volunteer, 6th grade 4-H camp cabin mom, Wickliffe Public Library page, and the list continues…
In fact, if you ever purchased a decorated cake from Willoughby Baking Company on Vine St. in the 1980’s you probably experienced her handywork in the form of colorful buttercream flowers (roses were her specialty.)
MaryAnn had quite a “green thumb,” loved large tumblers of water with EXTRA ice, country music, books on tape, puzzles, craft fairs, ceramics, jewelry, playing slots at the casinos, decorating for the holidays, shopping, gift-giving, and homecooked meals surrounded by family.
Survivors include her two children, Veronica (Paul) Catalano and John J. (Lisa) Corrao, Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) and Alyssa Catalano as well as Annalise, Josephine, and John “JT” Thomas Corrao; great grandchild, Richard Catalano; and siblings Marge Leary, John (Madelyn) Pazicni, Bern (Donna) Pazicni, and MANY nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Corrao, Sr., father, Mitchell J. Pazicni, mother, MaryAnn Pazicni (nee Yanecko), and ten siblings.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29950 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. immediately following services.
