Laura B. (Zella) Thompson

Laura B. Thompson (nee Zella), age 68, of Highland Hts., passed away peacefully October 17, 2023. Laura was born on May 29, 1955 in Mayfield Hts., OH to the late Alfred and Mary “Gladys” (nee Salamon) Zella.

Laura was born and raised in Mayfield and went to Mayfield Schools. When she was younger, she traveled a lot and also loved golfing very much as well as music, cooking, board games, mahjong, and competition in general. Most of all, she loved her dog, Abby, who she is now reunited with in heaven.

Laura was the beloved wife of the late Timothy Thompson; loving mother of Katherine (Chris) Federico; devoted grandmother of Paolo and Niccolo Federico; dear sister of James Zella, Robert Zella, Susan Herak (deceased) and Mary Zella; dear aunt to her nine nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Laura’s honor on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at her home. Please feel free to reach out to Katherine and Chris Federico for further information.
