Kay D. Wallace (nee Smith), age 85, of Wickliffe, passed away January 18, 2021. She was born on June 15, 1935 in Altoona, PA to the late James and Ellen (nee Larson) Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David of over 50 years.
Kay was a devoted member of Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick where she frequently volunteered in support of church activities and fundraisers. Through the church she assisted the Salvation Army local chapter as an administrator.
She was kind and considerate and enjoyed helping others. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always there for them with a smile and a hug. She and her rescue dog Lily became great companions through the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on puzzles, needle point projects, coloring and feeding and identifying the many birds in her yard.
Kay was the dearest mother of Kim (Joe) Alpeza, Tim (Michelle) Wallace and Lynn (Bill) Kimble; devoted grandmother of Stuart, Rebecca (Jon), Andy (Mary), Jimmy, Ellen, Mellissa and great grandmother of Ellasyn, Gwen and Hannah; she was a wonderful sister to her only sibling, Peggy Borst (deceased).
Graveside Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Whitehaven Memorial Park 615 SOM Center Rd., Mayfield Village.
