Jack A. “Jackie” Butler, age 68, of Painesville Twp., passed away on October 6, 2021 at his residence with his wife by his side. Jack was born February 27, 1953 in Amma, WV to the late Carlos and Nellie (nee Truman) Butler. After graduating from Mentor High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served for two years. Afterward, he worked and retired from OsAir after 38 years.
His wife was the love of his life, his son was his partner in crime and his whole world revolved around his grandchildren.
In 1977, he married the love of his life Darlene (nee Dominick). Jack was known for his love of playing, coaching and watching baseball. He played men’s softball and bowled later in life for many years. “Jackie Boy” had a sense of humor and wit like no other. Jack never missed a sporting event for his grandchildren because we all knew they were his world.
Jack will be remembered by his wife of 34 years, Darlene Butler; son, Jeff (Alisha) Butler; grandchildren, Bryanna and Logan; sister, Connie (Rich) Roediger; sister-in-law, Denise (Mike) Abramczyk; mother-in-law, Lillian Dominick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Dominick.
The family will receive friends at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10TH FROM 1:00 TO 4:00 PM.
