Mass of Christian Burial for Gary “Ozz” Osborne, age 78, of Wickliffe, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe (Please Meet at Church). Gary passed away May 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family and was born on May 25, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late Holmes and Betty (nee Popovic).
Ozz was a veteran of the U.S. Army and firefighter for the Wickliffe Fire Department and retired after 25 years of service. As an avid golfer, he later enjoyed working at Lost Nation golf course for over 10 years.
His strongest and deepest love was for his family. He also enjoyed playing basketball and softball. He never missed his son's tennis matches or the opportunity to coach his son’s sports teams.
Gary was the proud husband of his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Barbara “Barbie” (nee Sivillo); dearest father of Lori (Mark) Castillo and Gary (Peg) Osborne; devoted papa to Nicole, Alex, Marky (fiancé Nikki) and Krista Castillo and Derek and Jack Osborne and great papa to Channing “Ozz” Castillo; dear brother of Jean (Dean) Barnes; dear nephew to his only aunt Nettie Popovic; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear cousin and friend to many and his loving dog, Daisy, who never left his side.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Nick Sivillo.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for all their wonderful care and support.
The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Thursday, May 27th from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. (Masks Required). Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
