Gail M. (Dye) Lastoria Cook

Gail M. Lastoria Cook (nee Dye), age 85, formerly of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully with her family at her side June 21, 2022. She was born on April 10, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to the late David and Ruth (nee Ecker) Dye.

Gail was a longtime member of Christian Life Church in Mentor. She was a former Past President of the Wickliffe Italian-American Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Gail had a passion for dancing especially ballet, knitting in which she made many Afghans over the years, had a huge love for all animals, bowling having been in many leagues and having family over for Sunday dinners.

Gail was the dearest mother of Anthony (Cynthia), Dominic, Jeanne and Annette Lastoria; devoted grandmother of Anthony, Carman, Dominic, Ashley, Jillian and Laura Lastoria, Amy Miller, Amber Gonzalez, Kristy Penoyar, Antonio LaMonica and great grandmother of 12; dear sister of David Dye; dearest friend of Kathy Krakowski; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Anthony Lastoria and second husband, Cary Cook and her sister, Jean Giancola.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27th at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
