Frank W. Martz, age 83, formerly of Willowick, passed away peacefully April 26, 2025. Mr. Martz was born April 6, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late Arthur Martz and Eloise “Betty” (nee Avery) Russo, and his late stepfather, Louis Russo.
Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1960 to 1963. He retired from the First Energy Co., working at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and a former parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene church in Willowick.
Frank all around loved life, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He also enjoyed playing cards especially Skip-Bo and pinochle when he was younger, listening to oldies music (especially Elvis), and loved American history (especially history of the Old West).
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Janice (nee Baum); dearest father of David, Sheri, and Denise (Joe) Popely; dear brother of Ida “Blondie” (John) Sokolowski (both deceased), Darlene (Bob) Epaves (both deceased), Lynn (Rick) Hill, Louis (Denise) Dziak and Ronald (deceased) (Kathy) Russo, and other sisters (all deceased) Marycatherine, Anita and Loretta; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Private family services were held. Burial was held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
