Ada Granchelli left to be with her Lord on April 26, 2021.
Ada was born on January 31, 1935 in Collecorvino, Italy. In 1966, at the age of 31, she moved to the United States from Italy with her husband, Giacinto Granchelli and their two small children, Attilio and Patti. Together they raised their family in Wickliffe, OH.
Ada worked at Dalton Industries in Willoughby for 19 years. She also was employed at Taffy’s Costumes in Mayfield Village as a seamstress in the cutting department. Upon retirement, Ada and Giacinto relocated to Mentor before moving to Indiana for several years. Following Giacinto’s death, Ada returned to Wickliffe and then Willoughby for her remaining years.
Ada was an amazing cook and loved to share her joy of cooking with anyone who had an appetite! She had many recipes and taught her family traditional Italian cooking. She also loved to garden and sew and enjoyed making facial masks for others during the last year to help protect against Covid.
Ada was the dearest mother of Attilio Granchelli (Janine) and Patti Beasley (Terry). She was a devoted sister to Romano DiMarco (Lisa) of Concord, OH and Jill Marini (Tony) of New York. Ada was a loving grandmother to Nina Kernya, Andrea Granchelli, Carla Mann (Kerry) and Michael Beasley. She was a proud great grandmother to Gabriella, Alyssa and Audrina Kernya, Giulia and Thomas Mann.
Ada truly loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She brought so much love, laughter and strength to all. Ada will be deeply missed by her family and her friends and companions at Abbott’s Manor.
