Steve A. Chessie, 94, a long time Wickliffe resident died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Anna Maria of Aurora. He was born February 9, 1923 in Rush Twp., Pennsylvania. He had worked as a warehouse man for Wyeth Pharmacudicals for 37 years, had been a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and served in the U.S. Army in WW II receiving Four Bronze Stars. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara (William) Kirsch of Willoughby; grandchildren, Charmaine (John) DeChirico of Texas and Ronald (Lolly) Chessie of New Jersey and great grandchild Carissia DeChirico of Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte V. (Twoey) Chessie in 2006; a son, Steve A. Chessie Jr. in 2003 and his parents Charles and Catherine Chessie and thirteen brothers and sisters. A private burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp.
