Duplessis
August 4, 1937 – February 24, 2025
Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald J. Duplessis, age 87, formerly of Wickliffe, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe (Family and Friends Please Meet at Church). Mr. Duplessis was born August 4, 1937 in East Cleveland, OH to the late Levi and Beatrice (nee Boissoneauld).
Ronald worked as an electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local 38 for over 67 years. He was also a member of the Army National Guard, Wickliffe Eagles, and Sons of the American Legion.
Ronald was an avid coin collector, enjoyed drawing, gardening, working on puzzles, and framing them when completed, bowling, shooting pool, and traveling with his late wife, Dorothy. A true sports enthusiast, Ronald was a devoted fan of Cleveland's teams, especially the Indians and Browns. He loved spending time with family, especially lunch on Saturdays.
Ronald was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Teal); dearest father of Vicki (John, deceased) Sason and Steven (Lisa) Duplessis. Devoted grandfather of Jacqueline Schwarz (Jim), Nick Duplessis (Ashley), Kimberley (Dan) Ertter, Kelly Sason, Daniel Duplessis, Brittany (Fiancé Nate Parsons) Duplessis and great-grandfather of Ryan, Dominic, Killian, Carson, Jett and Waylon.
Preceding him in death are his sons, Donald and James (Cindy) Duplessis; grandchildren Steven and Melissa Duplessis; and Sister Shirley (Leroy) Braunlich.
The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Sunday, March 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. following mass.
Ron's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Salida Woods Assisted Living and Vitalia Mentor Memory Care for taking such good care of him in his final years.
