Obituary

Myra J. Malise (nee Cornelison), having graced the world for 89 remarkable years, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026. Born on June 3, 1937, in Russellville, AL to the late Zeke Cornelison and Mary Swank, Myra led a life full of warmth and dedication.

Her career spanned decades, with 25 years at Kmart followed by 15 years at Target before retiring. As a devoted parishioner of St. Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake, Myra's faith was a cornerstone of her life. However, it was her family that held her heart; they were her greatest joy and priority.

Cherished wife of the late Adam, Myra was a loving mother to Michele and a loving memory for the late Michael and Pamela. She was a cherished sister to Patricia (Tony) Taylor and of the late Mary Glen, Jeanette (Jack, deceased) Watson, and Robert Cornelison. Her legacy extends through her numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends whom she held dear. Myra's spirit will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7th at St. Justin Martyr Church 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake. Private Inurnment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Myra’s memory to Reserve Care Hospice at https://reserve-care.org/ or P.O. BOX 72700 Cleveland, OH 44192.
