Monroe J. Turner, Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023 at Lake West Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 9, 1934 in Cleveland, OH.

Monroe's love for his wife Carol, whom he married in 1957, is truly legendary. They were always together. He won hunting trophies and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and boating. Monroe retired from Hillside Dairy in 1996.

Monroe was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Collise) for 65 years; dear father of daughter-in-law, Randie (Robert McCullough) and sons Raymond (Vicki), Michael (Gail Bencina & son Josh) and Scott (Tami); fun & loving grandfather of Jessica (Alex Ziegler), Christine (Zack) Rosenberg, Jonathan and Madeline; excited great grandfather to future Nolan James Rosenberg; friend and brother-in-law of Alyce; cherished uncle of Kathy, Sue and Sherri and great uncle of many. Monroe adored his friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Monroe J. Turner III; father, Monroe Sr. (Charlotte); mother, Josephine and brother, Robert. The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Thursday, April 20th from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow immediately after visitation. A dinner reception to follow after services at the Wickliffe Italian-American Club in the Large Hall 29717 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
