Mass of Christian Burial for Michael J. Bellissimo, age 85, of Wickliffe, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe (Family and Friends Please Meet at Church).

Mr. Bellissimo passed away August 30, 2024. He was born July 20, 1939 in Cleveland, OH to the late Albert and Antonia (nee Sanzo).

Michael was the beloved husband of the late Jenilena (nee Matteo); dearest father of Karen (James) Duda, John (Lisa) and David (Michele); devoted grandfather of Jena (Frank), Jamie (Jamie), Dominic, Michael (Meredith), Ryan (Annamarie), Jason, Abigail, Samuel, Zachary and great grandfather of Olivia, Francesca, Vincenzo, Giovanni, Rocco and Sonny; dear brother of Norbert (Fran) and Donald (Pam); also survived by his beloved dog of 17 years, Bella.

Michael grew up in Collinwood before moving to Wickliffe 68 years ago, enjoying 35 winters in Naples, Florida, and spending his last year as a resident of Vitalia. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Henderson (DD-785), a longtime member of the Wickliffe Italian-American Club, the VFW Post in Naples, FL, and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Many memories were made with family and friends at his pool parties, the beaches in Florida, in his kitchen, and in the woodshop in his garage. Mike's unwavering love for his family and his deep connections within his communities defined his life, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Thursday, September 5th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Willoughby Cemetery.
