Mass of Christian Burial for Matilda H. Turpack (nee Mattis), age 96, of Mentor, will be a 10:30 a.m. Tuesday November 19, 2019 at Ss. Robert and William Church 367 East 260th St., Euclid. Mrs. Turpack passed away November 15, 2019 and was born on December 5, 1922 in Johnstown, PA.

Matilda was a former resident of Euclid for over 55 years where she had also been a parishioner of Ss. Robert and William Church and formerly St. William Church for 57 years. She also loved going to casinos to play slot machines and loved to play bingo as well.

Matilda was the dearest mother of Thomas (Josephine) Gudowicz, Mary Joyce Applegate, Linda (Norm) Yates and William (Debbie) Gudowicz; devoted grandmother of Matthew (Danielle) Applegate, Stephanie Gudowicz, Billy Gudowicz, Jr. and great grandmother of Samantha Walker and Nathan Applegate.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Gudowicz and second husband John Turpack; parents Stephan and Emma (nee Yuhas) Mattis; siblings David (Stella) Mattis, Emma Mattis, Elizabeth (Frank) Repar, Grace (Zal) Bohnak, Edith (Chap) Bohnak and Marie (George) Phillips.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday November 19, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
