Mary Anne Vilyus (nee Novak), beloved wife, sister, and cherished friend to many, passed away suddenly on August 14, 2025, in Conway, South Carolina, at the age of 79.

Born on July 3, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Anne grew up in the Cleveland area where she would spend much of her life. She attended West Tech High School and went on to pursue her education at Notre Dame College. She built a rewarding career in the investment industry with Private Harbour in Beachwood, Ohio, where her warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her.

After decades of life in the Cleveland area, Mary Anne retired to the beautiful coast of South Carolina, where she embraced a new chapter with characteristic grace and enthusiasm. In 2022, she married her partner of 20 years, Sergio (Sid) Munoz, a union that brought her immeasurable joy and companionship. Those who knew Mary Anne knew that she had truly found her person. Sadly, her beloved husband Sid passed away in April 2026, just months after Mary Anne herself.

Mary Anne had a gift for bringing people together. She delighted in entertaining and treasured the time she spent with her wide circle of friends. Her generosity was equally evident in her steadfast support of the causes close to her heart, and she gave of herself freely and without hesitation.

She is survived by her beloved brother, Frank (Fran) Novak. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary (Sinur) Novak.

Private Inurnment will take place in Whitehaven Memorial Park at a later date.
