Mary Lou
(Grubiss) Weber
August 15, 1936 – November 23, 2024
Mary Lou Weber (nee Grubiss), age 88, of Wickliffe, passed away November 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Lou was born in Cleveland, OH on August 15, 1936, to the late Joseph and Marion (nee Rymarczyk) Grubiss. She was the third oldest of eight children, who cherished her relationship with her brothers and sisters as well as her in-laws.
Mary Lou was the beloved wife of Martin, whom she married on May 17, 1958; together they had five children: Edward, Robert, Mary Flannery (Ray), Larry and John (Lisa); a proud grandmother of six and great grandmother of three; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed her time with her husband scratching lottery tickets and with family, her favorite was playing Apples to Apples and card games. Mary Lou always looked forward to family picnics and holiday parties, she loved the beauty of a rose bush and feeding the birds. If she had her choice, she would have skipped her meal and ate just white chocolate macadamia nut cookies or Arby's cherry turnovers. Besides family, her faith was most important, such as praying the rosary, reading her multiple prayer journals, and attending mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. following mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Lou's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in c/o Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 1730 Mt. Carmel Dr. Wickliffe, OH 44092.
Arrangements entrusted to Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home of Wickliffe (440) 943-2466.
