Funeral Services for Martha Godfrey (Foglesong), age 91, of Mentor formerly Wickliffe will be 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio. Mrs. Godfrey passed away March 16th at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Born September 30, 1926 in Lundale, W.VA she had been a teacher in the Wickliffe School District and a member of the Covenant Baptist Church where she served as choir director from 1957 to 1978.

Martha's passion for music, along with her smile and her love of people, inspired many. Her devotion to music lasted throughout her life. She is fondly remembered for directing choirs, harmonizing during sing alongs, providing piano accompaniment and sharing her voice with the world. Her avid support of the arts never faded as she continued to attend concerts and musicals.

Mrs. Godfrey is survived by her sons Gene (Jackie) of IL, Bob (Lauren), Tom (Colleen) of FL and Dave (Carla) of IL, grandchildren Vince, Alisa, Kimberly, Breanna, Brian, Tonya, Erin, Gail, John, Jennifer, Kathy and Jerry, many great grandchildren, and sister Susan Shaw of NC

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Godfrey and brothers James S. and William R. Foglesong.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
