Louise M.
Simon
April 12, 1929 – June 23, 2025
Louise Mildred Simon, age 96, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025.
Louise was born on April 12, 1929, to Joseph and Mildred Simon (nee Morris). Raised in a close-knit family, Louise developed a lifelong commitment to faith, family, and community—values that guided her throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Marge, Joseph (Coletta), and Phillip Simon; and nephew, Phil Simon.
Louise is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Rita Simon, nephews Chris, Jeff (Cheryl), and niece Susan (Greg Goth). Her memory also lives on through her grand-nephews Alex Simon, Joe Simon, and Phillip Goth, and grand-niece Isabelle Goth.
Louise spent many years living in East Cleveland. After the passing of her father, she and her mother moved to Pine Ridge Apartments in Willoughby Hills, where she lived for many years. In November 2023, Louise moved in with Susan and Greg, where she spent her final months surrounded by love and cats. She quickly became the cats' favorite human, their affection shown in the quiet moments they shared curled up on her lap, offering comfort and companionship.
She dedicated over 40 years of her life to her career at Guardian Life Insurance, where her work ethic and loyalty left a lasting impression. Outside of work, Louise was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially of Cleveland hockey, baseball and basketball. Until her passing, she could often be found sitting in front of the television, watching a baseball game, and avidly flipping channels if hockey and basketball were also on. Her love for sports extended to her family as well; she took great pride in watching her nephews and grand-nephews compete, hardly ever missing a game.
A woman of deep faith, Louise was a founding member of Saint Noel Church in 1980 and remained a faithful parishioner throughout her life. Her quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering dedication made her a beloved presence in the lives of many.
Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed.
Louise's life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Saint Noel Church 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. Her burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted after mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Saint Noel Church or a charity of your choice in Louise's memory.
