Leroy C. Getz, age 86, formerly of Aurora Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family April 27, 2024. Leroy was born October 27, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to the late Robert and Ila (Whitcomb).

Leroy grew up in Wickliffe and graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1955. Leroy resided in Mentor, Eastlake (Surfside), Solon and Aurora Ohio. Leroy had a distinguished career in banking and mortgage lending; working for Shaker Savings, Ohio Savings, Huntington Bank, Parkview Federal Savings and Wells Fargo in various leadership roles. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, archery, fishing and boating. Leroy, above all else, loved his family.

Leroy was the beloved husband of the late Violet (DeCapua); beloved husband of Marcella (Buco); loving father of Jeff, Cheryl (Dr. Henry W. Pugh, deceased) (partner, Connie Barden) and Roy (Monica); stepfather of Brian Swaney and Jill Boynak; devoted grandfather of Andrew (Lucy) and Parker; loving uncle to Laura (Whitney) and Randy, dear brother of the late Robert W. Getz.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (Eulogy at 3:30p) at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Saturday, May 25th, where the family will receive friends and family. Private inurnment will be in Acacia Memorial Park in Mayfield Hts.
