Mass of Christian Burial for John A. Retar, age 95, of Wickliffe, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Mr. Retar passed away November 27, 2018 and was born on November 3, 1923 in Cleveland, OH.

John was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran who served in the 13th Armored Division. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Knights of Columbus 5405, American Legion Brewer Tarasco Post 7, Parents of Priests and AMLA St. Ann Lodge 4.

John was the beloved husband of Laura (nee Fox); dearest father of Father John and Jeffrey (Kimberlee); dearest father-in-law of Kristin; devoted grandfather of Christopher, Cody and Addison; dear brother of Mary Yuhas.

He was preceded in death by his son Brian and brother-in-law John Yuhas.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe on Sunday December 2 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
