Gilbert D. Mecoli, age 92, of Wickliffe and formerly of Bonita Springs, Fla., died December 24, 2017, at Altercare of Mayfield Village. Born October 4, 1925, in Bellaire, Ohio, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and had worked as a crane operator at General Motors Fisher Body Division. Gilbert is survived by his children, Pam Stopp of Keystone Hills, Fla., Sandra Pratt, Kevin Mecoli and Cheryl Latessa; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Barnett) Mecoli in 1981; and two grandchildren. Services will be priivate.
