Funeral Services for George E. Blakemore, age 88, of Wickliffe will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Mr. Blakemore passed away March 5, 2018 and was born on March 13, 1929 in Cleveland, OH. He was a longtime Wickliffe resident before moving to Mentor.

George was a U.S. Army Veteran and was also a steward with the Teamsters Locals 293/392. He enjoyed bowling, watching sporting events and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George is survived by his children Linda (Rod) Hazelwood and Jim (Pat); son-in-law Mike Harig; cherished grandfather to Stacy, Kristy, Leigh, Tammy, Cassie, Jessica and a great grandfather of 13;

He was preceded in death by his wife Marion (nee Moster); daughter Cindy Harig; parents Edward and Gertrude (nee Groenstein); siblings Alma, Edward, Jean, Dorothy and Bill.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
