Mass of Christian Burial for Frances Rittenhouse (nee Caniglia), age 77, of Painesville Twp., will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Mrs. Rittenhouse passed away August 9, 2021 surrounded by her devoted family.

Frances had a long career in cosmetology. She was a teacher, hairdresser and a salon owner. She made many dear and lasting friendships throughout the years.

Frances was the beloved wife of David Rittenhouse; loving mother of Paul Sabitsch (Carolyn Stuhler), Laura (Ed) Rectenwald and John (Meghan) Sabitsch; cherished grandmother of Mitchell Sabitsch and Olivia Rectenwald; dear sister of Genevieve (Franklin) DeCapua; dear aunt of Peter, Michael, Franklin Jr. DeCapua and extended family, Christopher and Kenneth Rittenhouse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arialdo and Dorina (nee D'Altorio) Caniglia and her brother, John Caniglia.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe on Thursday, August 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. at a later date.
