A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Evelyn B. "Evie" Coyne (nee Slage), age 91, of Wickliffe, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe (Please Meet at Church).

Evie passed away at her home with her family at her side on November 8, 2025. Born November 27, 1933, she was a resident of Wickliffe for over 60 years. The family is very appreciative for the loving care and kindness she received at Aberdeen Crossings and then with Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Evie was a loving, caring wife and mother. She loved to paint, sew, knit, cook, bake and garden. She spent many years volunteering at the Hospice of the Western Reserve after the wonderful care they provided to her husband for many years. Evie worked in various secretarial roles, including owning her own secretarial business.

Loving wife of the late John J. Coyne; loving mother of Martin (Beth) Coyne of Columbia Station, Maureen (Donnie) Brod of Raleigh, NC, Beth (Tom) Reis of Granby, CT, Patty (R.C.) Welch of Strongsville, and Katie (Salim) Sitabkhan of Highland Hts.; devoted grandmother of Sean (Becky), Karin (John) and Brian (Amanda), Nick and Eric, Michael, Scott (Julia) and Daniel (Ashley), Rafiq and Riaz and two great granddaughters, Eva and Remi; dear sister of Norma O'Connor and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Evie was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Dorothy (nee Stich) Slage; infant son, John Thomas and her brother, Steve Slage.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12th at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
