Cheryl L. Kinney (nee Foster), cherished lifelong resident of Wickliffe, peacefully passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on October 25, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Verberlean (nee Martin) Foster.

A proud graduate of Wickliffe High School’s class of 1972, Cheryl dedicated many years of her life to serving the City of Wickliffe, including valuable contributions to its recreation department. Her commitment to community reflected a deep-rooted connection to her hometown.

Cheryl found spiritual solace as a member of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, the very place where she and her devoted husband, Eleare, united in marriage. She nurtured a profound love for reading the Bible, enjoyed bowling, passionately followed sports, and treasured engaging in heartfelt conversations with family and friends, all enriched by her wonderful sense of humor.

She leaves behind a legacy of love as the devoted wife of Eleare; a nurturing mother to EJ (Rachel Mullis) and Dustin (Shallonda Deskins); and a doting grandmother to Miles, Josiah, Jaylen, Shakenya, and Khaaliah. Cheryl was also a cherished sister to Jimmy (Eloise) Foster, Pauline Brown, and Antonio Thomas, as well as a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are warmly invited to pay their respects at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON TUESDAY, JUNE 30TH FROM 4:00 TO 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1st, at Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, 29955 Ridge Road, Wickliffe, followed by interment at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

Cheryl’s enduring spirit and warm heart will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
