Carol R. Turner, of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully December 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the OLMC Players Club, and The Eastside Irish-American Club. Carol was known for her beautiful smile, generous spirit, and boundless love for those around her. In 1957 Carol met and married Monroe J. Turner Jr., and together they created a love story that is truly legendary.
Loving mother-in-law to Randie (Robert McCullough), and adoring mother to sons Raymond, Michael (Gail Bencina & son Josh), and Scott (Tami). A proud grandmother to Jessica (Alex Ziegler), Christine (Zack) Rosenberg, Jonathan, and Madeline, and a great-grandmother to Nolan James Rosenberg, and soon to be a great-grandmother to a baby girl. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Alyce of Euclid, nieces; Kathye, Sue, & Sherrie and many grand-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Monroe J. Turner Jr., her son Monroe J. "Jim" Turner III, and her parents Helen and Ray.
Carol enjoyed a rewarding career as an administrative assistant at I.G. Magnaproducts, Doubek & Powel, and later as a storage business Manager until retiring in 2009.
She enjoyed performing in musicals and loved to sing. Carol was frequently invited to share the stage with many talented live entertainers. Her adventurous spirit led her to enjoy traveling, parasailing, waterskiing, and countless activities with family and friends.
Despite being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease 12 years ago, Carol continued to live life with joy and happiness. The legendary love of her husband, her family, and an extraordinary care team enabled her to remain at home until her peaceful passing.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to honor Carol's generous love and beautiful spirit on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Regovich Event Center 33150 Lakeland Blvd., Eastlake:
5:00 p.m. Greet and welcome friends and family.
6:00 p.m. - Eulogy for Carol Turner
6:30 p.m. - Buffet Dinner
7:30 p.m. - Celebrate with music and dancing because that is the way Monroe and Carol lived throughout life.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly suggests donations be made in Carol's memory to The Hospice of the Western Reserve P.O. BOX 72101 Cleveland, OH 44192.
