Barbara A. Hacking (nee Bestgen), age 80, formerly of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully February 3, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Barbara was born October 15, 1943 in Cleveland, OH to the late Harry and Norma (nee Lockner) Bestgen.

Barbara graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1961. She worked at the Auburn Career Center, where she eventually became the treasurer in 1978 and retired in 2001 after working there for 30 years.

Barbara enjoyed reading very much and spending time with her grandchildren. She resided in Florida for 10 years before moving back to Ohio, where she enjoyed many days at the beach.

Barbara was the dearest mother of Douglas Will and Arlene Rodgers; devoted grandmother of Alyssa Garner, Sarah Rodgers and great grandmother of Carter Garner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Koenitzer, and her most recent husband, Gary Hacking.

Private family funeral and burial services were held.
