Arlene G. Hren (Gruden), of Mentor-on-the-Lake passed away Monday, August 21st, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts. She has joined her Husband, Benedict Frank Hren. She was born into this world July 19th 1939 (78 years old), at Euclid Hospital. Her and our father had resided in Mentor-on-the-Lake since 1962. She was a 1958 graduate from Villa Angela High School in Euclid, Ohio. Married on January 17th, 1959 (58 years), Benedict Frank Hren at St. Williams Church by Francis Walsh. She brought her family up as good Slovenian Catholic's and was one of the original founding families of St. John Vianney's Parish back in 1969 with Father Robert Kline at Lake School Elementary. Like our father had retired in 2008 from the Lake County Council of Aging. She is survived by her children, Ben Hren (Diane) of London, England, Jef Hren (Robin) of Willowick, Ramona Mendak (Ronald) of Sheffield Lake, Rebecca Noel (Scott) of Willoughby, and 7 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her Father John Gruden and mother Josephine Gruden (Crtalic), husband, Benedict Hren, daughter Debra Scibona (Ross) of Willowick. Friends and family may call at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe, Ohio on Thursday August 24th, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday August 25th, 2017 beginning at the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. A Christian Mass Burial will be held at 9:30 at St. John Vianney's Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd. Mentor, Ohio at 9:30 a.m. Burial service will be held at All Souls Cemetery, 13366 Chardon Rd. Chardon, Ohio following the mass. A "Celebration of Life" luncheon will follow services at Dubrovnik Garden Restaurant/Villa Croatian Party Center, 34900 Lake Shore Blvd. Eastlake, Ohio.
