William Hertenstein Obituary

William “Bill” Hertenstein, age 73, of Willowick, passed away on January 23, 2018. He was born in Rushsylvania, OH on June 7, 1944. Bill was a 1962 graduate of Wickliffe High School and was a retired carpenter as well as a trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Wickliffe.

Bill loved his wife and “kids” especially his grandchildren whom he was so proud of. He enjoyed watching Cody tear it up on the football field and Katie performing on stage like her Uncle Rob.

Bill loved history, Mel Brooks movies and TV classics. His friends will remember him as the life of the party with laughter and joy, sharing his enthusiasm for 1950’s Rock N Roll. You would catch him on the holidays playing poker with his family as they listened to Louis Prima and Keely Smith albums.

Bill will be missed by his wife Darla (nee Durkach), daughter Lisa (Mike) Baranauskas of Perry, son Robert of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Cody and Katie Baranauskas, many family member and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arza and Ella (nee Rollins) and brother Michael.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, Thursday January 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
