Mass of Christian Burial for James L. Walsh age 94 of Richmond Hts., will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29840 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Mr. Walsh passed away June 2, 2018 and was born onMay 13, 1924 in Lakewood, OH.
He truly loved singing and music and played the guitar and piano. James enjoyed fishing and loved painting in his later years where he painted over 200 paintings. But most all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
James was a graduate of Ohio University School of Architecture with graduatework also at Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Walsh practiced architecture for 40 years as a planner, designer and project manager at Hoag Wismar Henderson Architects & Engineers. He was also a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army Engineer Corp. with service in Europe and the Middle East.
James was the beloved husband of 66 years to Pauline (nee Sopkovich); dearest father of Deborah (James) Horner and Edward (Jeri) Arent; devoted grandfather of Matthew (Laura) Horner, Rachel (Frank) Herchick, Scott Arent; a great grandfather of four; and dear brother of Jeanne Blake.
The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe on Tuesday June 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery
in Chardon Township.
