David P Loparo

Mass of Christian Burial for David P. Loparo, age 73, of Wickliffe, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 23rd at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29840 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe (Please Meet At Church). Mr Loparo passed away February 18, 2018 at West Medical Center. Born on April 30, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, he grew up in Wickliffe and graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1962. He later moved to Simi Valley, CA in 1964 while honeymooning with his wife and decided to stay. David and his family later moved back home to Wickliffe in 1972.

Mr. Loparo was the owner/operator of the Pizza Parlor in Painesville for 36 years. David was a member of the Wickliffe Italian American Club and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He truly enjoyed music by playing the banjo and teaching himself on how to play the electric guitar. David also enjoyed drawing and loved going to casinos as well. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Beverly (nee Latessa); Dearest father of David and Dana; Devoted grandfather of Sara, Benjamin and Jacob; Dear brother of Bill (Judy) and Elaine (Steve) Tretinik; Dear nephew of Mary; Dear brother-in-law of Eleanor Silvaroli, Jean Latessa and Carmen (Theresa) Latessa; Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many cousins as well. He was a great friend to many.

David was preceded in death by his parents Sam W and Nancy (nee Cocita); Brother-in-laws Jay Silvaroli, Bart Latessa, Richard D'Angelo and sister-in-law Carole D'Angelo.

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
