Antonia J. Bellissimo (nee Sanzo), 100, born in Cleveland, OH January 19, 1918, a long time Wickliffe resident formerly of Collinwood, passed away September 2, 2018 surrounded by her family at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Antonia was the dearest mother of Norbert (Fran), Michael (Jen), and Donald (Pam); a devoted grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of nineteen, and great-great-grandmother of three. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary (nee Colodangelo) Sanzo; her sisters Angela Parrottino and Mary Palumbo.
Antonia retired from TRW in 1980 after working there for 28 years. She was an active member and volunteer at the Wickliffe Senior Center and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Antonia enjoyed spending time with her family especially in the kitchen where you could find her baking her famous cookies and special cakes and on any given Sunday cranking out homemade cavatelli. She enjoyed her many trips to Florida and Arizona along with trips to the casino and playing cards with friends. Antonia will be greatly missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, where the family will receive from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass. Private inurnment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
