Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony C. Tomsic, age 94, of Wickliffe, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 7th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 29840 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Tony passed away on April 2, 2018 with his family by his side and was born on November 5, 1923 in Cleveland, OH.
Mr. Tomsic owned and operated Waterwash Hardware in Euclid from 1966 to 1986. Prior to that he worked at Seitz-Agin Hardware in Cleveland Hts. He truly enjoyed the outdoors, visiting his daughter in New York City and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Tony was a graduate of Euclid Central High School, Class of 1942. He was a decorated U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, serving as a medical corpsman and also as a pharmacist’s mate both in the United States and the Pacific Theatre.
Tony is survived by his daughter Michelle; Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret (nee Coladangelo); parents Anton and Jennie (nee Mestek); sister Jane; brothers Joseph and Frank; in-law’s Carmine and Grace (nee Sanzo) Coladangelo.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Eira and Regina Davis, Sheri Martin and Darren Lloyd, who so compassionately cared for Tony in his final months. His daughter is extremely grateful for their help and kindness.
The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe Friday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
